Wanted: Your Opinion! Branding Shreveport-Bossier

Shreveport-Bossier City has partnered with North Star Destination Strategies to develop a community 'brand' for marketing the city to visitors, residents and businesses in the year 2007 and beyond.
According to North Star CEO Don McEachern, at the heart of Shreveport-Bosier City's brand will be the city's competitive differentiator,in other words, what makes the city special so it can stand out in the marketplace. And one of the best places to find that figurative nugget of marketing gold is in the hearts and minds of the people who call Shreveport-Bossier City home.
The tourist bureau is spearheading the project, with the backing of the City of Shreveport, Bossier City, Attraction Association, Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Bossier Chamber of Commerce, Shreveport Regional Arts Council, and the Bossier Economic Foundation, to name a few.
Toward this end, North Star has developed an online questionnaire that has been carefully crafted to determine the city's strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities. All residents are invited and encouraged to participate in this important, community-wide initiative. The survey contains about 20 questions and takes five minutes to complete.Click on any of the links above under "Also on the web" to find the survey.
Once the research is complete, in early summer, a 'brand culturalization' plan will be created and it includes a position statement, a logo, an ad creative, along with other initiatives on how to filter the brand throughout the region.
